How you can help

Musik am 13. (“Music on the 13th”) is a music series in Stuttgart which is unique in its organisation in the whole of southern Germany. Since its foundation in 1991, the concerts have always – but not only – taken place on the 13th of each month, in the late Gothic Stadtkirche and the neo-Gothic Lutherkirche in Stuttgart-Bad Cannstatt. The programme is carefully selected, including works such as the great passions of Bach and Verdi’s “Requiem”, but often also features chamber music gems, new music or cycles of works by individual composers. It is always great music for outstanding ensembles. In order to enable as many people as possible to access classical music, admission is usually free; only at the special concerts do we have to ask audiences to purchase a ticket, but even then the admission fees only cover around 50% of the actual expenses incurred.

1. S. Bach wrote "Soli Deo Gloria" at the end of many of his works. But Bach also had to finance his performances and constantly asked for financial support. Even in his day, performing church music cost a lot of money.

Donations marking special occasions

Perhaps you will soon be celebrating a milestone birthday, and you’d prefer something instead of presents? You could consider asking your guests or well-wishers for a donation to support our music series. We will be happy to send you information and thank you cards that you can give to your guests.

Company anniversaries and Christmas presents

Are you celebrating a company anniversary in the near future, or would you like alternative Christmas presents for your customers this year? Why not make a donation to church music instead and invite your customers to a concert? We will be happy to send you cards that you can send to your customers. Just get in touch with us!

Get involved

We would be delighted if you would consider joining one of our Friends’ associations, which regularly support and promote our “Music on the 13th” and the special concerts given by the Bachchor Stuttgart. As a member, we will inform you regularly in advance about our events and you can book tickets before the official start of advance sales.
